About me
Having lived in Scotland, the Netherlands, and Qatar, I’ve had the opportunity to experience life through vastly different cultural lenses. Each move shaped my outlook, deepened my empathy, and strengthened my appreciation of diversity. My professional journey has been guided by authenticity and curiosity — and along the way, I’ve had the honour of coaching clients from more than 20 nationalities across the globe.
My public speaking journey began at the age of seven — something I have loved ever since. Over time, I realised that the real joy came not from perfection, but from trust: trusting that I could connect and communicate with people genuinely and confidently. I’ve since dedicated myself to helping others discover and develop that same confidence in their own communication.
By age ten, I knew I wanted to become a lawyer arguing in court, and I went on to realise that dream. Working both as a lawyer and a negotiator deepened my understanding of human interaction, influence, and communication under pressure. Even as a junior lawyer, I found that training and mentoring others proved to be just as exhilarating and demanding as practice in the courtroom, and that discovery shaped the next chapter of my professional life.
I’ve now spent more than half of my career as an educator — a role I hold with pride and passion. It’s a privilege to serve as a Law Professor of Practice, helping others develop the skills and confidence to thrive. For the past nine years, I have taught legals skills courses including negotiation.
I found that frequently students and colleagues relied on me for support and mentoring and this led me to expand my formal training to include coaching. In 2017 I completed a coaching training program and mentorship program approved by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) training. This training led me deeper into the study of Neuro Linguistic Programming, and I worked to earn Practitioner, Master Practitioner, and Trainer certifications. These disciplines have profoundly enriched my coaching, teaching, and capacity as a trainer — enabling me to support clients and learners with both intellectual rigour and human understanding.
I regularly design and deliver corporate training, enriched by my professional expertise, coaching and NLP background. This work focuses on helping leaders bring out the best in their teams, use feedback effectively, and overcome any fears that may hold them back from delivering honest, constructive communication. My aim is always to help others lead with authenticity, confidence, and courage.
